Gary W. Shirley graduated from Georgia Tech in 1970 and began his career in the computer industry shortly thereafter. Mr. Shirley co-founded two companies and acquired a third, eventually selling all three between 1992 and 1994. He has been predominantly involved with FBS Software, a provider of credit card processing software, serving as President until the sale of the company to Equifax in 1994. Mr. Shirley continued with Equifax as a Senior Vice-President until resigning in 1996.

Mr. Shirley is currently managing a family investment company that focuses on real estate investments. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor in December 2009. Since diagnosis, Shirley has completed surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. Today, he continues to receive clean MRI’s every 3 months to monitor his health.

Mr. Shirley has been married to his wife K’Marie since 1978, and has two sons, Blake and Steve. He is an active member of the Church of the Apostles and enjoys serving his community in various ways.
