The Wellstar Health System Cancer Program is accredited by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons as a Network Cancer Program, by the American College of Surgeons’ National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) and by the American College of Radiology (ACR.) Wellstar Hospitals provide the convenience of community-based oncologists who provide technologically advanced treatments including CyberKnife, STAT Lung Cancer Clinic, Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and a high rate of participation in clinical trials. The cancer center medical practices include: colon and rectal surgery, gynecologic oncology, interventional radiology, medical oncology, North Georgia Radiation Therapy, pulmonary, radiation oncology, radiation oncology services, surgery and thoracic surgery. Patient support services include: clinical nutrition services, pastoral care, rehabilitation services and social services.
