This webinar is brought to you by Georgia CORE and Claire Thevenot of Clarity Patient Advocates with special guest, Dr. John McBroom of Piedmont Physicians Gynecologic Oncology.  The webinar will discuss risks for cancer patients as well as changes in cancer care delivery due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We will also highlight other considerations for cancer patients including changes in insurance and advance care planning.






Claire Thevenot is a patient advocate and is the owner of Clarity Patient Advocates in Atlanta, Georgia.  She is an oncology certified nurse with several years of experience in working with cancer patients.  Claire is also a breast cancer survivor who combines her professional and personal experience in helping patients navigate the overwhelming and confusing healthcare landscape.


John McBroom, MD, from Piedmont Physicians Gynecologic Oncology, is a board-certified gynecologic oncologist, a certified member of the MD Anderson Cancer Network, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, American Society of Clinical Oncology, and Society of Gynecologic Oncology. He has published in multiple peer review journals, presented at national meetings and has been selected as a Castle Connelly “Top Doctor” every year since 2013.
