Part of Georgia CORE’s mission is to keep health care providers in the state up to date on the most effective and promising cancer care and treatment techniques available. By promoting the awareness and use of best practices among health care professionals, cancer survivors and caregivers in Georgia will experience the highest quality care. Georgia CORE continues to develop innovative conferences to enhance collaboration among oncology professionals in the state and improve the experience of patients and caregivers throughout their cancer journey.
Thomas E. Seay, MD, PhD Lectureship. This program was established by the Board of Directors of Georgia CORE to honor Dr. Thomas E. Seay, a leading and greatly admired medical oncologist who was President of Atlanta Cancer Care, a member of the medical staff of Northside Hospital, and a founding member and chairman of the Georgia CORE Board.
Just in time for Cancer Research Month, Georgia CORE has awarded a Collaborative Cancer Research Seed Grant for $100,000 from the Georgia Cancer Research Fund.
