Theragenics CEO Jacobs to Co-chair SEC committee

Theragenics Corp. Chairman and CEO M. Christine Jacobs was appointed to co-chair the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's new advisory committee on small and emerging companies. Buford, Ga.-based Theragenics (NYSE: TGX), a surgical products and cancer treatments company, saw its profit rise about 54 percent to $1.2 million in the second quarter.
