John B. Amos Cancer Center Receives Recognition for Clinical Trials

The John B. Amos Cancer Center located in Columbus, GA was recently featured for their involvement with patient participation in clinical trials. The feature in the Ledger-Enquirer highlights the experience of Judy Bultman, kidney cancer patient and her appreciation for having a clinical trial available to her. Ms. Bultman lives in West Point, GA. Georgia CORE is working to expand clinical trials access throughout the state. The John B. Amos Cancer Center has access to Investigator-Initiated studies through the Georgia CORE research network, and has trials available sponsored by large national cancer institutes and pharmaceutical companies. John B. Amos Cancer Center has anywhere from 30 to 45 trials available at a given time. Andrew Pippas, MD is the center’s medical director and a member of the Georgia CORE Board of Directors.
