GeorgiaCancerInfo awareness continues thanks to GHF

11/18/2014

In September, Georgia Health Foundation granted Georgia CORE with $25,000 to continue a statewide awareness campaign for our flagship website, GeorgiaCancerInfo.org. Through Dec. 10, the website is featured on three billboards, one in each of three markets. Look for our board in Gainesville on I-985 near the Northeast Georgia Medical Center, in Macon near Central Georgia Cancer Care, and in Rome near the Harbin Clinic.

“We are so very grateful to our partners at Georgia Health Foundation for supporting our efforts in raising awareness of GeorgiaCancerInfo.org,” said Georgia CORE President Nancy Paris. “They understand the importance of reaching patients, survivors and caregivers across the state with information about cancer care and service.

The GHF gift will continue giving through early 2015. Radio spots will run on NPR affiliates across the state, including WABE in Atlanta. Georgia CORE will also purchase billboards in Albany, Valdosta and Columbus, all featuring GeorgiaCancerInfo.org.  All cancer centers, oncologists and cancer-related non-profits are encouraged to visit the website to make sure their profiles are complete and up-to-date.
