Food for Life

According to the National Cancer Institute, research shows that as much as 33 percent of cancer risk may be related to diet. To combat this disease and help end cancer disparities amongst Black women and men who are highly impacted by this disease, My Style Matters has teamed up with Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine to bring the 5 week Food for Life (FFL) virtual program to the community we serve. In this free five class virtual series, you will... - learn how certain foods and nutrients work to promote or discourage cancer growth - participate in cook-along demonstrations of simple, delicious recipes that can be easily recreated at home - learn how to shop on a budget - discover dairy & meat alternatives - learn how to preserve food APPLICATION Seats are limited. To participate in this program, please be sure to apply. Application will close on Friday, April 2nd at 12pm EST. All accepted applicants will be notified by Saturday, April 3rd.
