The Navigation Balancing Act: Addressing Care of Self and Others Virtual Mini-Conference

This interactive program will address issues faced by oncology navigators when trying to continue to care for patients/clients/families in times of great personal and professional change, stress and uncertainty. The program will include presentations by professionals including the opportunity to discuss shared experiences and problem resolution with other navigators.

Jill Binkley, PT, MSc, CLT, FAAOMPT is Program Director and Founder of TurningPoint Breast Cancer Rehabilitation, a non-profit 501(c)3 healthcare organization. Jill has extensive experience as a clinician and educator in the fields of breast cancer rehabilitation, orthopaedic physical therapy and manual therapy. She is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy. She has over 25 peer-reviewed publications and has presented locally, nationally and internationally on outcome measurement in physical therapy and breast cancer rehabilitation. As a breast cancer survivor, Jill is a passionate advocate for increased attention to the unmet physical and emotional side effects of breast cancer treatment and the role of rehabilitation and exercise in improving the quality of life of breast cancer survivors. Jill is a member of the Oncology and Orthopaedic Sections of the American Physical Therapy Association and serves on the Editorial Board of Rehabilitation Oncology. 

 

 

Vicki Steine is a Doctor of Science in Holistic Nutrition and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice working with children and adults.  She has worked in the field of mental health for over twenty years.  She is currently in private practice and specializes in treating neurological disorders, addiction, and trauma.  Knowing  that the brain and the body are connected, Dr. Vicki uses a combination of lifestyle education, mind/body therapies and talk therapy in her practice.

She is a Board Certified Nutrition Professional, Integrative Nutrition Certified Practitioner, Certified HeartMath Practitioner, and Brainspotting Therapist.  She is also trained in Emotional Freedom Technique, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Exposure Therapy.  She is a national speaker for PESI teaching an integrative approach to psychotherapy.
