Senior Manager of Events and Programs

As the Senior Manager of Events and Programs for Georgia CORE, Katreena collaborates across the organization and with statewide external stakeholders to plan, initiate and oversee the execution of multiple projects with a focus on survivorship efforts. At home, Katreena might be overseeing multiple projects in the kitchen while baking or cooking for family and friends. When she gets out, she loves to travel and spend time outdoors with her husband.  
 
Prior to Georgia CORE, Katreena was a Project Manager for access optimization at Emory Healthcare where she acted as an advocate, trusted advisory, and strategic partner for employees, managers, and leaders across Patient Access. She also developed new tools and streamlined processes and worked in various forms of patient access and care during her four years at Emory. 
 
Katreena graduated from Georgia Southern University with Master of Public Health and College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Arts in communication and a minor in health. A graduate of the 2019 High Potential Diverse Leaders - Leadership Development Program, Katreena is a member of the Georgia Cancer Control Consortium (GC3) Work Group, Georgia Chamber Diversity Equity & Inclusion Council, Georgia’s Lung Cancer Roundtable. Katreena served as a consulting team member of the Landscape Analysis Report: Atlanta. Susan G. Komen Stand for H.E.R. -- A Health Equity Revolution. Katreena currently volunteers her time on the board of directors for WellStart Initiatives.
