Education & Navigation
Expanding cancer patient navigation
Helping patients navigate their cancer journey
Cancer Patient Navigators of Georgia provides educational opportunities, resources, and networking opportunities for cancer patient navigators who guide Georgians through every step of cancer care. From understanding a diagnosis to scheduling treatment to connecting with community support, navigators help remove barriers so patients can focus on getting well.
Navigation, survivorship, genetics - it all blends together. It all connects.
Reaching patients in rural Southeast Georgia
Through the Southeastern Rural Cancer Care Network, Georgia CORE partners with healthcare providers in rural communities to improve access to cancer screenings, education, and patient navigation. The network focuses on underserved areas where geographic and resource barriers make it harder for people to get timely care.

In 2009, Georgia CORE and the Georgia Society of Clinical Oncology co-founded Cancer Patient Navigators of Georgia (CPNG) to help patients access coordinated cancer care across the state.
Building on a strong research partnership with St. Joseph's/Candler, Georgia CORE helped establish the Southeastern Rural Cancer Care Network to expand access in underserved communities.
