Thomas E. Seay, MD, PhD

The Thomas E. Seay, MD, PhD annual lecture is designed to promote improvements in oncology treatment, research, and quality of care as well as collaboration among oncology professionals in Georgia – all of which were of great importance to Dr. Seay.

Typically held each August during the GASCO Annual Meeting, lectures have featured:

2022: Eric T. Rosenthal and Donald L. “Skip” Trump, MD, co-authors of Centers of the Cancer Universe: A Half-Century of Progress Against Cancer.

2020: Dawn Hershman, MD; Director of Breast Oncology, Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center, Columbia University

2019: Daniel Kraft, MD; Faculty Chair for Medicine, Founder and Chair of Exponential Medicine at Singularity University

2018: Dr. Otis Brawley, Chief Medical and Scientific Officer and Executive Vice President of the American Cancer Society

2017: Wendell F. Rosse, MD, Professor Emeritus, Duke University

2016: Douglas B. Evans, MD, Donald C. Ausman Family Foundation Professor of Surgery and Chair of the Department of Surgery at The Medical College of Wisconsin.
