LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  1. Describe novel and technological innovations in diagnosing lung cancer and surgical procedures.
  2. Identify recent advances in minimally invasive surgery for lung cancer.
  3. Discuss the pros and cons of surgery and of stereotactic body radiation therapy for early-stage lung cancer.
  4. Define the benefits of chemoradiation and of radiation alone for inoperable advanced-stage NSCLC.
  5. Describe advances in management of unique populations, including patients with anteriormediastinal tumors and patients with thymoma.
  6. Discuss current and future targeted therapy and immunotherapy options for advanced NSCLC.
  7. Recognize latest advances in lung cancer screening
