Pink Pumpkin Party for Breast Cancer

Party for a Cause! Proceeds to provide free mammograms for women in need. The 3rd Annual Pink Pumpkin Party for breast cancer is a family fun, community event on Sat. Sept. 30th. Activities include Pumpkin Decorating Contest for adults and kids, Best Dressed in Pink for adults and kids, Music, Dancing, Selfie Station, Face Painting, Breast Cancer Information and other activities! Register by Sept. 20 to reserve your Pink Pumpkin (yes, they grow pink and peachy pink). Breast Cancer Survivors attend free, but they must sign-up to make sure we reserve a pumpkin for them. Sponsorships are available.

Lawmakers conclude listening tour on access to cancer care

Rep. Lee Hawkins, R-Gainesville, the committee’s chairman, said he and other lawmakers are working on drug pricing and other issues. He wrapped up the committee’s listening tour by saying the General Assembly will continue to study cancer care access.
