Augusta Oncology

Augusta Oncology Associates, PC is a practice which consists of seven physicians at two locations (Wheeler Road and St. Sebastian Way). Augusta Oncology Associates, PC is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR). Augusta Oncology Associates, PC is a member of the Georgia CORE Research Network, a statewide network of academic and community-based oncologists and researchers. The cancer practice also has oncology nurses who provide patients with chemotherapy treatments, help with incoming calls, and provide training and education. Augusta Oncology Associates, PC also employs 2 full time patient account representatives to act as a liaison between the patients and/or family and outside resources. Patient account representatives assist patients and their families with the following services: financial assistance, prescription assistance, home health services, transportation, crisis management, education, and support group referrals. The Radiology Department offers a spiral CT scanner and computed radiography room. The digital transference to the PACS system provides the radiologist and the ordering physician immediate access to the images. The practice is also involved in clinical trials.
