Athens Regional Health System

The Athens Regional Medical Center is accredited by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons as a Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Program. The cancer treatment team includes medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, nurses and other cancer support members. Patient services include: support groups and classes; informational library and yoga. Through the Loran Smith Center for Cancer Care, the following educational programs are offered: nutritional classes, self-image and cosmetics and ongoing classes in the healing arts, such as writing and painting, as well as the complementary therapies of healing touch and music.
