Cancer Navigators is a community-based 501 (c)3 non-profit organization funded by donations from citizens and businesses of Northwest Georgia, and by grants from private and public organizations. It has the endorsement and support of Harbin Clinic, Floyd Medical Center and the Northwest Georgia Regional Cancer Coalition. Cancer Navigators partners with many organizations including the American Cancer Society to provide resources and educational materials.

In order for the Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH) to achieve its mission of providing access to affordable, quality health care services for Medicaid members, these members must be able to get to and from their medically necessary appointments. The Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) program provides eligible members transportation needed to get to their medical appointments. NEMT services are for the state's five regions (North, Atlanta, Central, East and Southwest).

Mercy Medical Angels

Mercy Medical Angels has been providing free transportation to medical care since 1972. On the ground with gas cards, bus and train tickets and in the air with trips flown by volunteer pilots and the commercial airlines Mercy Medical Angels is here to ensure that no one in need is denied medical care because they don't have transportation. All patients must be physically capable of boarding a small airplane or commercial airliner and require no medical assistance during travel.

Every day thousands of cancer patients need a ride to treatment, but some may not have a way to get there. The American Cancer Society Road To Recovery program provides transportation to and from treatment for people with cancer who do not have a ride or are unable to drive themselves. Patients must be traveling to a cancer-related medical appointment.

United in Pink's mission is to focus on survivorship and quality of life for families affected by a breast cancer diagnosis. It provides unique services to the community in that it is the only local organization to focus on the holistic needs of families affected by breast cancer. Although there are other support groups in the region, United in Pink is the only group that purposefully includes therapeutic activities and support for all members of the family. All United in Pink programs and services are offered at no charge and have no barriers to access.
