Georgia CORE develops statewide cancer trial website - including 5 Harbin Clinic oncologists

Georgia CORE, the Center for Oncology Research and Education has developed an online information center that profiles 33 cancer clinical trials being conducted in Rome, as well as five Harbin Clinic Oncologists: Dilawar Khan, MD; Thomas Simpson, MD; Melissa Dillmon, MD; Matt Mumber, MD; and J.C. Abdou, MD. The data is posted to the nation’s first statewide comprehensive site for cancer care, GeorgiaCancerInfo.org, and clearly positions Rome as an emerging center for research and treatments in the state.

Lawmakers conclude listening tour on access to cancer care

Rep. Lee Hawkins, R-Gainesville, the committee’s chairman, said he and other lawmakers are working on drug pricing and other issues. He wrapped up the committee’s listening tour by saying the General Assembly will continue to study cancer care access.
