Dr. Michael Andrews is a medical oncologist in private practice with Northwest Georgia Oncology Centers in Marietta, Georgia. Dr. Andrews has been active in lung cancer research, first as a convener of the Atlanta based journal club, and later as a mentor of the statewide Georgia CORE Lung Cancer Working Group. He is involved in physician education and organizes the annual practice cancer therapy retreat. He also plays a leading role in recruiting new physicians and physician extenders. Dr. Andrews participates in the Wellstar STAT Lung and GU Clinics.

He received his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia, and completed his residency in internal medicine, and a fellowship in hematology & medical oncology at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and Hematology. Dr. Andrews served as president of the Georgia Society of Clinical Oncology (GASCO) from 1998-2000.
