The Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer as a Community Hospital Cancer Program. The health system is also accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR). The cancer care team includes a diverse group of board-certified and board-eligible physicians who represent every major specialty in oncology, backed by nurses, radiation therapists, and physicists experienced in caring for patients. The treatment philosophy highlights the importance of patients’ ability to obtain the highest levels of expertise and cancer-related services, in the community in which they reside. The health system also has a Breast Cancer Center which offers digital mammograms and digital stereotactic breast biopsies.
